Criticism is ramping up against the military-backed government as anti-regime protests continued across Egypt for the fifth consecutive day.
The demonstrations come as part of the \\\'week of rage\\\' rallies called for by the anti-coup alliance. Protesters chanted slogans against the army which ousted president Mohamed Morsi.T hey also demanded the release of their fellow students who were detained by security forces. On Tuesday, security forces took 16 student protesters to court over alleged accusations of protesting without permission.
