MQM activists attacked Shia Muslims during funeral procession of martyr Mirza Sarfaraz in old Rizvia Society on Tuesday. Namaz-e-janaza of the martyr Mirza Sarfaraz of Orangi Town was held at Shah-e-Karbala Imam Bargah Rizvia Society. When funeral procession started after namaz-e-janaza, MQM activists tried to politicize the procession. Shia youths objected and tried to prevent them from giving the procession a political colour. The eye-witnesses said that MQM's activists tried to cover up the coffin with MQM's flag. They said that Mirza Sarfaraz was MQM's member. Shia Muslims made it clear that normally the dead people's coffin is not covered with any party flag. Said coffin was covered with a chador inscribed with Quran's verses. Show Less >>
